Does Lewandowski want to go to Madrid?

Speculations about Real Madrid are not the first time that FC Bayern is concerned. There were no comments from the record champion, only the contract period until 2021 was always referred to. It is not known whether both sides were really ever in talks. Now, however, it is said to be Lewandowski, who wants to change to Real Madrid. Cezary Kucharski, Lewandowski’s advisor and a good acquaintance of the Real bosses, is known to be a man who likes to speak out in public about his protégé’s future, and he has often voiced criticism that should not normally be allowed to leak out. Also at the end of last season there was criticism from Kucharski, who at that time announced that his client would be very angry about the missed goal scorer cannon.

What is true about the rumour Real?

The Spanish newspaper “Marca” reports that Robert Lewandowski is eager to face a new challenge and wants to sign a long-term contract for the last time. In August Lewandowski will be 30 years old, so it could be his last chance to sign for 4 years. Should he really want to go to Real, he must hope for the Bavarians’ willingness to talk. Only last year, when rumours about the centre forward’s future began to surface, he extended his contract until summer 2021, meaning that if the record-breaking champion does not let his top striker go, he would not be available for other clubs until he was almost 32 years old. It is questionable whether Real will still be among the interested parties. Only a few weeks ago, on the occasion of Pierre-Emerick Aubemayang’s “Wechseltheater”, Bavaria’s President Uli Hoeneß made it clear that FC Bayern could confidently reject offers of 100 million euros. According to the “Marca”, however, the people of Munich would be willing to talk to them.

Real’s offense is peppered with world-class strikers. Cristiano Ronaldo, Karim Benzema, Gareth Bale, Marco Asensio, Lucas Vazquez and Borja Mayoral are at the disposal of the royals. Lewandowski’s position as centre forward, however, leaves only the ex-Wolfsburg Mayoral behind Karim Benzema. The Frenchman is weakening at the moment and only scored twice in the league, the Real bosses are dissatisfied. With the signing of Lewandowski, Madrid would probably finally have the best offensive in the world. In Marco Asensio, Ronaldo’s successor is already in place, and Vazquez is also increasingly hinting at his potential. It is only for the centre-forward position that the management seems to want more. But it is doubtful that Bavaria will give up the Pole, as he is unrivalled in the attack. Although Sandro Wagner was signed on for injuries, the FCB could not compensate for a change. If Lewandowski would really be allowed to change, there would probably be a transfer fee of around 100 million Euros.
